Crystal is a tufted capuchin who is an animal actress.

Biography

Crystal was purchased by Birds and Animals Unlimited by trainer Tom Gunderson. He named her "Crystal" after country singer Crystal Gayle. Her first role was in the 1997 film George of the Jungle, and she would later appear in other movies, such as Dr. Dolittle and American Pie. Her star-making role was as Dexter in Night at the Museum; a role which she reprised for the movie's sequels. The 2010s saw Crystal gain more notable roles, such as playing the monkey in The Hangover II and a recurring character on the show Community.

Crystal has also starred in a Random Encounters production; playing the titular monkey in How to Beat a Monkey at Chess.
